Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Visado ("Visado", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our website and application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), or the profile information returned by a third-party sign-in provider such as Google (name, email, profile image).
  • Immigration profile data you provide: details you enter to assess your eligibility, such as age, country of origin and destination, education, work experience, occupation, language test results, and family/marital information.
  • Payment information: when you purchase a report, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number; we receive only limited transaction details (e.g., confirmation, last four digits, amount).
  • Usage and device data: aggregated, privacy-friendly analytics such as page views and general device/browser information.

How we use your information

  • To provide the Service — assess eligibility, generate pathway analyses and reports, and power the AI assistant.
  • To create and manage your account and process payments.
  • To send you transactional emails (e.g., email verification, password resets, purchase confirmations).
  • To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

To generate your personalised analysis and to power the assistant, the profile information you provide may be processed by third-party AI service providers (for example, OpenAI). We share only the data needed to produce your results and do not use your data to train our own models.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers ("sub-processors") that help us operate the Service, under agreements that require them to protect it. These include, for example:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting of backend functions.
  • Vercel — website and application hosting and analytics.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) — generating analysis and assistant responses.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Visado and its users.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see below).

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@visado.ai.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not use analytics to build advertising profiles.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
